SeeTerra Photo Album Viewer
Home page: http://seeterra.necula.org
SeeTerra is much more than your usual photo album viewer (see a DEMO):
- The SeeTerra editor can add/change tags to your photos: description, date/time, geographical location. The tags are stored in standard fields inside the photo, which means that they will be recognized by other software. You can run the editor on the local machine to edit tags of local photos, or on a remote web server, to edit tags for albums stored on the web server.
- The SeeTerra album viewer supports thumbnails, slide shows with varying speed, shows the date and a description of the photo. You can view the resulting albums with any web browser, even if you do not have SeeTerra installed.
- The distinguishing feature of SeeTerra is its integration with Google Earth. In the editor mode, you can enter the geographical location for your photos by pointing to a place on Google Earth. In viewer mode, the Google Earth will spin and zoom to show you the geographical location stored in the photo.
- For editing tags and for the Google Earth features you must have the SeeTerra software installed. If you just want to view the albums produced with SeeTerra all you need is a browser.
